What is Voluma?

Voluma is the newest edition to the trusted family of Juvederm injectable fillers, having been introduced to the market in December 2013.

How does Voluma differ from other fillers?

Like Juvederm, Voluma is made from hyaluronic acid, which is a component of connective tissue normally found in the body. What makes it special is that it is thicker than traditional fillers and is designed to be placed in the deeper tissue planes.
It’s especially useful to restore youthful volume to the cheeks, which can be lost with age or significant weight loss. As with all the procedures he performs, Dr. Horowitz is careful to produce natural results, to avoid the unnatural “apple-cheeked” overdone look.

How is Voluma injected?

Voluma is injected in the office after application of a prescription-strength topical anesthetic.

How long does Voluma last?

Early word is that Voluma can last as long as two years!
