The idea that pollution can damage your skin is not new, but are we taking it as seriously as we should be?  Our preferred brand of skin care products, SkinCeuticals, commissioned a study that analyzed the impact of ozone pollution on real people.

For the first time ever, scientists were able to quantify this effect, revealing that after being exposed to the equivalent of pollution in a major city, participants that used SkinCeuticals products experienced a significant reduction in the key skin indicators related to healthy skin appearance (think hydration, firmness, smoothness, etc).

So what can you do to keep your skin looking its best?  The answer lies in the power of antioxidants, as well as with ongoing research SkinCeuticals' scientists are performing as we speak.

What are antioxidants?  They fight "oxidants" - duh!  Ok, so what are oxidants?  They are variants of oxygen molecules that do both good and bad things in our body.  Unfortunately, things like pollution, cigarette smoke and alcohol can bombard our bodies with the bad types of oxidants called free radicals.

The good news is that SkinCeuticals' products are chock full of antioxidants that provide advanced environmental protection and are clinically proven to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and promote a naturally even skin tone by neutralizing free radicals.
